| As you become a thought leader or if you become more and more involved in supplying digital content to your website, you will face the enemy. It isn't a he or a she. It isn't a competitor. It isn't your boss. It's perfection. |
Voltaire is credited with coming up with the general principle which has since become the proverb, "Perfect is the enemy of the good." In other words, if you insist on perfection, you may produce very little. You may see no results. You may get no improvement.
Why? Because you're insisting on something that is practically impossible. Stop asking: "Is it perfect?" Instead ask: "Is this good enough to accomplish my goal?"
When you focus on your goal, such as producing a blog post, a new video, a new graphic or a new presentation, you are more likely to actually accomplish it. When you focus on what's not quite perfect, you wait...and wait.
How do you slay the enemy? Focus on your goal.
