My Biography
I am Vice President of Mack Communications, a Chicago area public affairs and public relations firm. Mack specializes in crisis communications, media relations and reputation management. We work with a number of corporate and public clients.
I am the former news director at Chicago's legendary WGN Radio. I had the privilege of reporting and anchoring the news for more than 25 years. I could also be heard nationally as a contributing reporter for the ABC Radio Network. As news director, I led a team of talented journalists, winning several awards along the way. I believed in developing a strong reputation as a solid and ethical journalist. I understand what makes the news and how the most effective leaders communicate.
After leaving WGN, I served as Communications Director for Republican Kirk Dillard’s campaign in the 2010 Illinois Primary for governor. I was the chief campaign spokesman and was responsible for speech-writing, press relations and campaign web site content.
I am a graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in Speech Communication.
