Most of the experts say he should never have been drafted in the first round, that he will never be a top tier quarterback in the NFL because he doesn't have the right throwing motion or the right footwork. Yet, he continues to win.
So, what's behind his success, and what can we learn from Tebow? Here are just three of his qualities:
Despite his athleticism and raw talent, Tebow is a workout addict. He lifts weights, does footwork and passing drills and puts in extra time on and off the field so that he performs at his highest level. He takes nothing for granted.
Tebow's basic nature seems to be a kind of humble confidence, that allows him to excel while never boasting or bragging. He believes in himself, but remains fully coachable. That allows him to learn and adapt as he goes.
Tebow won't give up. He won't let the critics or the skeptics get to him. He doesn't care that some people think he's too outspoken about his Christian faith. Guts, courage, determination: He has a will to win, and it shows.
Tebow can teach us all a lot. Are we willing to learn?
