I’ve decided enough’s enough. Life is too short to be treading water to survive. There are only so many days, weeks, months and years that we have to be productive, contributing members of society.
My earlier post about making a difference (MAD) has inspired yet another version of the same theme. In fact, it ties perfectly with my blog, “Open Mic.”
Now, if you don’t know, I made my living for most of my life as a broadcaster, behind a microphone. When you’re in a studio you always want to speak your best and have the best ideas when you’re behind an “open mic” or one that’s on the air.
But why stop there?

Now, if you don’t know, I made my living for most of my life as a broadcaster, behind a microphone. When you’re in a studio you always want to speak your best and have the best ideas when you’re behind an “open mic” or one that’s on the air.
But why stop there?
I should ALWAYS want to speak my best and be communicating the best ideas, whenever and wherever. The Open Mic concept should be 24/7.
So, here’s my new acronym for “MIC:” Make it Count. Make life count. Make your experiences count. Make the words you say count. Make your time count. Spend your time with the people who count.
When you become engaged in that way, you’re always “on the air.” You’re always contributing, always creating value for others and always thinking of new ways to move forward.
Take the MIC concept to work, to church, to school and let me know if you begin to see new results. And, pass this along to others.
