Conventional wisdom suggests our biggest regrets at the end of our life will be our failures, the things we did that turned out horribly wrong: failed marriages, failed family life, failed business.
But I think there's likely to be a far greater regret, one that's even harder to take.

| Better to have tried and failed than to have never tried. |
It's the regret for what you didn't do, but had the opportunity to do. It's the book you didn't write, the business you didn't start, the instrument you never learned to play or the person you never befriended. Those are greater regrets because you're always left wondering what might have been.
Better to have tried and failed than to have never tried. Better to have reached out and made the effort than to have held back because of fear or pride. So, what will it be today? What can you attempt today? What will you regret not doing?
Go ahead, do it!
