Life would be simpler if we simply followed the rules, but we often get the order of events mixed up. We often fixate on the "how" when we really need more focus on the "why."
For example, we worry more about what diet to follow, which foods to eat, rather than why you want to lose weight in the first place. Without a strong reason, it's hard to stay committed and reach your goal.

"Why is a much more powerful motivator. A why is your driver. It’s the reason you want what you want and do what you do. For example, a why might be, I want to be a role model for my children, or I want to have more energy to work and pursue my dreams, to feel good within my body. People accomplish more by answering the question “Why am I doing this?” than “How am I doing this?” Truth is, if you have a good reason why, the how will follow."
