
We're at the cusp of another football season. I always find it an exciting time, as much a part of fall as cooler temperatures and autumn leaves.
Along with football and other team sports come talk of who's the most valuable player, the MVP. That player is the usually the star quarterback, running back or, occasionally, a defensive player.
It's the player fans believe that without him, the team couldn't win. Of course, all of that talk flies in the face of teamwork. How?

A quarterback would be nothing without an offensive line in front of him or without good receives to catch his passes. Naming an MVP should not diminish the talent, hard work and value of the other team members.
