The problem is that we learn nothing by doing nothing. We gain no experience. We sharpen no skills. We gain no satisfaction from overcoming a difficult challenge.
Rough seas may be difficult, even dangerous. But they bring out the best in us.
We don't have to long for the rough seas, but neither should we shun them or dread them when they come. They make us into better people.
