Quick. Think of something you can't do well. No problem. Most of us can think of several things we cannot do very well.
Next, think of something you do well. Be honest. What are you good at doing? Much harder.
We're trapped by the belief that we're either great at something or lousy. We're either experts or dunces.
Life is rarely like that. Each of us may have our lead skill or specialty. But that doesn't mean we have no skill at all in other areas of life.

We need to get rid of the notion that it's all or nothing, especially when it comes to setting goals for the New Year. It's tempting to talk ourselves out of certain goals by suggesting we can't do it well anyway. Nonsense.
We can all improve in areas of weakness. We can all get a little bit better even in some of our lesser life skills.
Don't trap yourself with an all or nothing mindset when it comes to your skills and abilities. Even a little bit better is still better.
