We have become a digitized society. We use email, social media, click on links, surf countless web pages and buy numerous products online. It's amazing.
I'm just enough of a gadget geek to get all excited about life in the digital fast lane. I cannot get over the apps and websites I come across almost daily that offer some new service or unique twist on staying connected.
And yet, you may still be missing out. You wouldn't think of going through life without exercising your audible voice. But, many people don't seem to realize the potential they have with their digital voice. Let me explain.

No longer do you have to spend millions of dollars to errect a broadcast tower and transmitter or get a license from the Federal Communications Commission to put on your own radio show or podcast. You can do it from your own home.
No longer do you have to spend millions of dollars to buy printing presses and ink to publish a newspaper. You can publish a very respectable journal right online.
No longer do you need huge production facilities, cameras and technicians to put on a television show. Short, corporate or promotional videos are cheap and fairly easy to create and present online.
So, the goal is to find the digital tools that work well for you. If you're a writer and you're not blogging, you should be. If you're a speaker and you're not presenting podcasts or webinars, you should be. If you're a creative story teller but haven't produced your own video, you should.
All of these may seem ominous at first. But they're easier than you'd think. Not easy, but easier than you'd think.
Use the available resources, which are often free, to define and extend your personal and corporate brand. Use the resources we have at our disposal to pass along great content. Learn to be a thought leader.
