Do you ever hear someone say, "Well, I'm just having a bad day," or "It's been a horrible day?"
Of course you have. We've all said it and believed it. One thing after another seems to go wrong. We stub our toe on the way to the bathroom in the morning, get stopped for speeding on the way to work, have a difficult meeting at the office, get a disappointing phone call later in the day, and so on.
It's tempting to believe we have no control over our life. It's just a bad day, we think. Well, how silly.

How ludicrous to believe that stubbing one's toe and getting stopped by a police officer had anything to do with one another.
Every time we believe this myth we actually rob ourselves of the power to make things better. We focus so much on the "bad day" that we ignore the choices or actions that can actually improve our situation. In fact, believing it's a bad day can actually sabotage events because we've already assumed the worst and failed to adequately prepare.
Whether a day is good or bad is up to us. We get to choose our response to the events and circumstances we face. We choose the meaning that each moment has for us.
All days can be terrific days! It's up to us.
