We have an abundance of ways to communicate with others and with the world. Social media has created a critical mass of communication, so that it seems we're over-communicating.
Tweets, texts, blogs. It's all so overwhelming at times. We feel more plugged in, more aware of what's going on, and yet, how well do we really stay in touch with those who mean the most to us? How effective are we at utilizing all of the latest bells and whistles to send words of encouragement or thanks?
Let's face it: we're busier than ever. It's actually tougher to communicate in many cases. All the more reason to pause every now and then to assess whether we're really communicating as we should -- with our parents, our kids, our friends.
Someone may really need you to reach out right about now.
