Leadership is many things, but we get so busy that we forget to put first things first.
As a leader, that means encouraging others. Not just a pat on the back or a luke warm, "Nice job."
John Maxwell talks about giving out courage and hope.

John Maxwell talks about giving out courage and hope.
Does your staff need hope? Probably.
Two quick points:
1. Be as generous with encouragement ("you can do it") as you are with praise ("job well done). Realize that people need to see and feel that they can make it to the next step, the next level.
2. Help others visualize the finish line, the goal. What will it look like, feel like? What's the reward?
When times are tough, give hope.
When competition is stiff, give hope.
When all else fails, give hope.
