Yet, even if that's so, we still have an awfully big elephant in the room: the need to deal with change. The reason we hear so much about it is because it's so very real.
So, I would encourage a simpler approach.

Once you have come face to face with the essence of change, go one step further and become a change agent. Be the one who grabs hold of the change, exploits the change and engineers the change.
This requires not only foresight, but the courage to act. It means taking a chance you're wrong.
However, change is more manageable when you see it coming and can do something about it. It's always more difficult when it's a surprise.
